Rail pressure surging

Truck is an 08 zf6 with 55k on it. Owner said it has done it since new. It is now ******d and tuned with sct and pip tunes. Surges with stock tune or custom. Only does it under part throttle. Really bad when towing. Any insight?

Have you tried an frp and uvc harness¿

No I haven't. I have read a lot that it has to do with tuning. I will try that. What about the sensor itself?

Yeah, i have seen lots of the sensors take a chit. I replace the sensor and harness as one. Tuning may have some to do with it, but you could have a great tune, that dont know what the *** is going on due to an input being chit.

I would check the fuel bowl just to make sure you don't have any metal in there just to be sure.

last time we had one surging, we ended up needing a pump replaced as well
