Ok I found a 96 f250 ext cab long bed for 6500$ 335000 miles 4x4. I've also found a 90 f350 cab chassis with blown 7.3. Was wondering if the rear end will work in the 96 and the 5 speed manual fit in the 96. Of course I would have to change front diff gear to match

The transmission will fit but the rear axle will not. I'm not sure on the torque ratings on the early 5 speeds so you might want to look into that.

Torque is basically the same. The trans will work fine.
The rear end won't. Chassis cab has a narrower axle. It's not a direct swap.

Yep I didn't think about it being chassis cab. But with some fabrication it could work but not worth it. The guy only wants 1500 for the 90 model and it comes with a nice flatbed. He said there was a hole in the block.
