My neighbor just traded in his 2012 F250. He pulled his tuner from the truck before he traded it in, however he did not return his truck to stock tune.

Is this tuner now locked and ruined?

Can someone still use it like an Edge Insight and use as gauges but not to tune?

Anyways he wants to sell the unit. Not sure exactly what it is worth but would appreciate any feedback.

Sounds like he needs to go sweet talk his salesperson. My understanding is that the unit is 'married' to the truck until returned to the stock tune

Damn. Im not sure if he traded his truck in or sold it to someone. Ill ask him tomorrow. I was thinking maybe it would still read parameters on another vehicle but they wouldnt be able to tune their vehicle with it. Thought maybe someone would want to get this cheap vs buying a new Insight
