After I drove around with a bad Tc and clutches for awhile I finally replaced it all. Reason was because it kept down shifting out of 5th and the tc kept unlocking.
Tore it apart and threw this in:
RCD Tripple disc tc
RCD input shaft
RCD intermediate shaft
RCD reverse hub
Red eagle clutches
Transgo shift kit
Got a new tune written from gearhead, still downshifted. Got another trans tune written and it seemed to fix it for 3 days. Last night cruisin home at 70mph, noticed tc unlocked in 5th,got it to lock then 2 miles later it down shifts. I'm lost at what I could be?

P1780 means either you didn't press the button on the end of the shift handle while the test was running, or the button doesn't work.

Looking over the wires is a waste of time. You'll never see anything but the most obvious short. You need to use a meter and check the wiring for continuity, short to ground, and short to power.
