How big of a difference will a converter make in drive ability with a 472 over a 467 without a converter?

So i just swapped out my 467/83/.90. For a new 472/87/1.10 on my truck and all i can say is holy hell. Power output is a night and day difference. Clearly it doesnt come into boost as soon as the 467, but surprisingly its only about a 150 rpm difference. Pretty damn impressed to say the least.

Really, maybe I need to look into if I'm getting waste gate creep or a leak or something. How is the 472 in normal driving compared to the 467?

Like I said before I don't start seeing boost until about 100 rpm. Also how smokey was the 467 and did it get worse with the 472

Still need to put it on the dyno and get it dialed in, but it only smokes a little bit when i get into it, both turbos flow way more than what the stock nozzles can produce for fuel, so it cleans them up pretty fast. i do not have a wastegate setup on my truck.

Is it MPD you work for? Do they offer mcc tunes? I figure they have tuning pretty dialed in for singles. I run GH , the engine tune is ok but the hybrid trans tune is terrible for a bigger single.

That the standard 72 or the new SXE? Also that turbine wheel and looser exhaust housing probably made more of a difference than a few mm on the compressor side.
