Considering lowering my truck. My wife has family that ride with us that boderline disabled. They have a very tough time getting in my truck. Its kind of something I wanted to do anyways. What does it take to achieve this ride hieght and is it a horrible ride quality?

so since its 4wd you wont be able to get it that low without some major modifications to the frame. basically you would need to C-notch the front frame to get it that low.

Here is about as low as you can go with a 4wd, I had this set up for some years and it rode ok, only issue I had was large bumps would bottom the axle out on the frame. There are probably some good bump stop solutions to resolve this.

Cut front coils (about 1" room between the axle and the stock bump stop bracket with no bump stop)

No rear block, and the main leaf removed from the spring pack.

Easiest is 4400lb Springs in the front and a 1" block or no block at all in the rear. You will just have to shave the bumpstops

Do you have the 1" blocks in the rear in this picture?

I'm running a 305/55 and thinking about a 295/60 or 295/65 when the time comes. Would you, by chance, recall your tire size in that photo?

They are stock so 275/65/20. Nowhere close to rubbing

I cut a coil out of a set of stock 5600# springs and pulled the rear overload in addition to a set of 2" PMF traction blocks.

This is 4800# springs and just the rear block removed. I wish I went 4400 but just buy the springs from Ford, you can probably find them for under $100 each.
