Turbo solenoid pulsing

I have a 2000 7.3.in was troubleshooting the glow plug solenoid earlier this morning and noticed a ticking/pulsing noise coming from what I thought was the intake heater..looking into it more,where the green and red hoses hook to the electrical connector on the "Y" bridge.it pulses..to the point you can hear it..is this normal??

Normal. It's the wastegate solenoid by the way.

And it's suppose to pulse..

Sorry, no help here. Been to many miles since all of those parts have been removed from service.

Different turbo. No wastegate. If yours is stock, unplug all the wires, pull the red and green lines off. They have little rubber boots on them, the boots will slip nicely over the bolt ends on the clamps that hold the intake on. Or you can stick a golf tee in them. (I always keep a bag of golf tees in my toolbox for plugging off vacuum lines.

Truck will run just fine with no wastegate working.

Won't overspeed turbo or get overboost codes to mess with motor operation?

Not if it is stock.
