That's awesome! How do these compare to the old cree bulbs?

The biggest difference with the new version is they can be run indefinitely without heat damage to themselves as they are temperature compensated. When on for normal reverse use they are all-around brighter, and at typical running time equal in measured forward output, only at extended run time are they less in forward intensity. They are much more uniform for distribution over the width of output.
In relative intensity measurement, compared to the previous version the following data helps put it visually. (green is new 9W version with red showing maximum when driven to edge of CREE's absolute maximum ratings at the same temperature, blue is older version bulbs with the additional radial LEDs)

LED on the left, stock on the right. Pretty sure i can see better going backwards than i can forwards now. LOL Huge difference in light output.
