So ever since I bought my Ex last year the number pad on the drivers door has not worked. It doesn't light up, and pushing the right 2 buttons wouldn't lock the doors. I finally got some time to mess with it over last weekend and this is what I found.

I have 12v power to one of the pins at the plug that connects to the keypad.I ohm'd out the keypad and 3 of the buttons were always open. Even when I pushed the buttons and I cleaned the contacts.

Because of this I ordered a new keypad.

I received the new pad yesterday and installed it last night. Still doesn't light up and does nothing when I push the 2 right buttons simultaneously.

I didn't have time to check the power again as it was getting dark, but I want to look into it more tonight.

Looking for other ideas on what could be my problem. Anyone have experience with fixing this accessory?

Hmm.. I'll have to look at my mom's Ex when I can. She doesn't use it though. Door locks need replacement lol
