That tube looks long.. my turbo sits as the same height as the stock vgt sits so from the bottom of the turbo to the drain outlet on the hpop cover is close.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1428889773.478626.jpg it's hard to see but the piece in the bag is my drain tube but I also have a lot more room under my turbo. How is that 90 held in the hpop cover? Is it actually threaded in?

we use the stock drain tube cut with a machined female adaptor with a male barbed nipple and hose meant for gas and oil so it don't degrade from the oil, if you need a pic I can take one if needed from my truck

yeah I should have went with the irate in the very beginning... mpd's kit is not worth the money- only thing that cost any amount of money is the all new t304 stainless up pipes. the rest of the fittings etc etc are subpar to say the least for the what they charge. ahh well, their local, and need to get this truck done before Rudy's...
I would have been finished a couple weeks ago if the original kit worked/and or this mpd kit fitted up.

I believe the irate drain is braided hose and fittings.... update..
got the turbo in, drain all worked out---- well, the new drain mpd sent still did not work correctly and I had to modify it yet again, its done done now though. just need to finish the regulated return and a couple odds and ends then she is ready to fire. really looking forward to the new set-up.

p.s>> I have a lathe and am going to start making 3" long marmon flange extensions for those who have down pipe issues like I had(3" gap between the dp and the turbine flange).. they will be made out of t304 stainless and will end these fitment issues that I had(which im sure others out there had as well in the past). if someone has issues like this just pm me, ill make your non vgt install a lot more enjoyable lmao.

Greg,

I am not trying to sound negative... but do you think maybe you are missing something or installing something wrong? I never hear about fitment issues from companies like Cutting edge and MPD? What are the odds that both the kits have major fitment issues?

If you cant get anything from any of the kits to line up... then maybe something is not getting installed right. I know that sounds stupid and the kits are pretty simple... its just that I don't ever hear complaints like this about there kits.

Matt at ced did find issues with the t4 pipes made correctly, and mpd was surely an issue they saw with the incorrect parts they supplied.its just bad luck

I'd like to add.. non vgt kits are not easy and do not have a boiler plate install... but when ced and mpd say kit bolts right up with stock dp location and rr 90*fittings"... and you install them and they don't fit, it raises frustration. .. my engine is the same after all and if the downpipe fit the vgt turbo then it should fit the non vgt, if it doesn't then it tells me they mocked it up to something different and did not take the time to fit it up correctly. I'm just stating the issues I had, no bashing just the facts. I was sincere to mpd and ced when explaining the problems I had. Both companies also handled it professionally as well

Quick question, this bw does not say borg warner or anything on the compressor cover, is that because htt had to make the turbo a 64.5 and put their own cover on it? Anyone know? Thanks.
