Beat it on it a little after work, did a few burnouts, wrench light went away, but now it does this crazy thing where i nail it on the highway and it came out of 5th and lock up and hit nuetral and the rpms hit 4000 then i lifted then i did it again and it hit nuetral again then did it again and it screwed up again and then went bang and went back into gear and then the check engine light came on and the wrench light, then i lost over drive and lock up again. Motor sounds completely normal still but i'm gonna get the trans built pretty soon, followed by the motor. I have almost all the major parts for the motor.

That's what i figured from the reading i have done on here. Converter has been slipping for a few weeks too... Now to decide elite competition rebuild or suncoast iron pak 3

how do you know the tc was slipping? if is it locked and the directs slip, it shows as tc slip on the monitor.

Whatever kit you do, use raybestos gpz clutches not the red altos...dont ask me how i know.

Ok thanks for that tip. I guess you could be correct and it could just be the directs slipping bit if i'm having the trans pulled i'm doing everything to it.

Put a Bilstein steering stabilizer on it. Put a cheap one on it last year, it was already toast.

How does a good single feel? Im considering Fox 2.0s all the way around with one in place of the stock stabilizer. Im running 35x12.50 on a 20x10.

I put a bds dual with fox 2.0s and love it. Also have 2.0s all around. Same rim n tire setup as you.

What lift set up you running? Im currently running a 2" level in front with stock rear F250 blocks. Thinking about moving to a 2.5" spacer in front with 4" rear blocks when I put the Fox's in.

Readylift 3.5. No rubbing at all even when flexing.

Don't know yet, haven't driven it since i put it on. Too lazy to take it for a test drive LOL I'll find out in the morning. Duals for me would be way over kill since I'm just running 285/75s. I sprayed a few coats of clear on it like I did with my Fox shocks though to keep it looking good.

I cant decide what I want to do as far as a lift goes. I already have a track bar drop bracket so I don't really need a full kit, but I just don't know. I have a little rubbing on the back of the front fender liner during compression while turning. It sits a little nose high now which I want to get rid of but cant decide whether I want to piece together a little bigger kit or just buy a Readylift or Rough Country 4.5 and add Fox 2.0s. Piecing together would definitely be a cheaper option.

Side note: is a 3" about when the radius arm drop brackets are required? My caster was fine at a 2"

Carli suspension. Just saying lol.

Not going to put a $2k lift on a $17k truck. If I had a new $60k truck I would but Im not looking to do that lol. Especially since all I would be able to afford is a 2.5" starter kit.

Well can't say if it's because the other steering stabilizer was shot or because it was el cheapo but the Bilstein definitely feels better.
