Does the 6.4 gear reduction starter work on a 6.0. Or can I just get a gear reduction starter ? I have had my truck for almost two years and not in goin on my third starter.

I can hear it at the back of the motor. If I slowly drive away from a stop sign etc. Also if my truck sits over night it cranks a lot before it will fire for the first time the next day.

My truck has 210,km. And the paint is literally flaking off the bottom of the doors,cab corner and box ???? Bad prep I'm assuming ?
