Haven't done it but been reading for when I get around to an 05 axle swap. This info is for 05-07 boxes. Holes need to be reamed out for larger bolts, steering shaft will go right on, and need p/s pressure line from 05-07 truck. Not sure about pitman arm as all my research was with an axle swap

That sounds right to me, the red wire to the switch should just be a battery power for the lighted switch

i've got an Alpine 103 HU with blue tooth and ipod control alpine type R 6.5 fronts alpine type S 5x7 rear JL J2 500.1 monoblock amp and a JL 10W3 running 500w @ 2 ohm wanting to put type R 5.5's in the back and amp the fronts need to take some pics
