I drove home about 30 miles and when I got home I sprayed them good with penetrating fluid. I gave it about 2 hours and the bolts came right on out. Took at most 20 minutes and that is rounding up and putting up the tools.
I am about to tackle this task myself. I have heard do it when the truck is hot and do it when the truck is cold. Which method is best? I have also heard to tighten the bolts a little then loosen them some and then tighten some and loosen some more and keep doing that till they come out. Sorry...
I have a 2011 im getting ready to do the block off plates on. I have heard that some folks are snapping one of the bolts. The ones that snapped are they doing the install when the truck is hot or after it has cooled off some? I wouldnt have a clue what to do if one of my bolts broke.
thanks,
