I read everything - I think X codes would get the front to quit rubbing, maybe also allow you to get rid of the leveling pack. That is all in assuming that you don't currently have x-codes - I know you don't know what you have now though.
I thought I saw ride quality mentioned a few times - so...
Personally I would go with U or V codes, and rule X codes out. U codes are the softest. Followed by V, then X.
Who's RSK kit do you have now? And what height kit is it?
I did the Borgeson. I could not believe the amount of play the factory shaft had - I think there's a black plastic cover that covers the joint - move it out of the way and have someone work the steering wheel while you watch the shaft. Not only did mine have a lot of rotational play, but the...
Well, the truck sold before I could make up my mind. Scratch this idea...
It was a mint Centurion, almost identical to what my grandpa had when I was a kid. Would have been awesome to relive some memories in his truck's clone.
If I buy this truck, it's got a mint set of factory Alcoas on it. I want to lift it the minimum height to make it 4x4 with a decent ride, that's it.
Really don't want to run spacers or drilled hubs either, not on this truck anyways.
Like the title says, what is the lowest lift height possible, and what suspension would it be? I'd like as close to stock 4x4 height as possible. I want to avoid the RSK height, so I am wondering about converting an OBS Dana 60 to coil spring?
Also want to stick with OBS axles and 8x6.5"...
I see they are very similar in RPM/MPH. If I was starting from scratch I think I would probably go 33&3.73, but being that I already have a wheel and tire combo with low miles, guess I'll stick with 35s.
I did swap in a 4.10 axle just to road test before going through with a regear on mine or...
Thought I'd follow up with an update.
SDK Tunes (have not asked for any revisions YET)
I still have 3.55 gears with 35s.
I have checked for boost leaks and feel confident that there are none - there were some originally but I have found and fixed them. Even checked with soapy water and I can't...
