I dropped the truck off at another shop...they said they had no idea, to try a tranny shop.
I did manage to get my hubs locked tonight and took it for a spin! There was alot od background noise but I don't think I heard or felt anything at all. I don't even think I heard the rattle that I was...
Good to know.
I couldn't get it lock by hand. The knob cracked and broke trying to spin it. I'm gonna try to lock it again tomorrow and drive it.
So now I need new 4wd hubs (either warn or mile marker since everything else is out of my price range), I'll just assume the driver side hub needs to...
Sorry it's been so long since I've replied. I replaced my hub with a timken and it's still doing the same thing. It was terrible yesterday..so much so that I drove it around the block today and parked it. Still the same rumble strip/mud tire roar with vibration.
I had 2 shops tell me the front...
It is the wheel bearing. I'm probably going to replace the wheel hub with a timken. Can one be replaced or should both be replaced at the same time?
If I can budget it I may go ahead and do warn or yukon locking hubs as well.
That's what I was thinking RNally! It only did it twice today, but the clunking/clicking is still there. I can lock the hubs but it's so random and sporadic I don't know if It will do it or not.
My truck has been making a clicking/clunking sound for about 2 weeks ONLY when I hit a bump or pothole. It sounds like it's coming from the front passenger side of the axle.
Out of the blue today, it starts to shake and rumble, dang near similar to the rumble strips on the interstate. It...
Oh yes! Haha they throw rocks. Scared the hell out of my fiance when we pulled onto the highway and it sounded like rounds were bouncing off the truck!
Got em on some trails at Land Between the Lakes. They had no trouble at all finding traction. For what i do with my truck, I am more than pleased with their performance. They are wearing well, I'll get a depth gauge today and post back.
Haha I'll have to see if I can find a plow drift or something tomorrow.
The few times I ever saw more than this I was in Germany and Switzerland and was maybe 13 or 14.
Snow!!! Finally got to get these tires in some snow! They are great. They handled it all with ease...not a single issue.
The forecast was 6-10 inches, so not alot of snow but the most I've had this truck in.
Well I'm due for a rotation this week. The tires are still doing great and look good as well. I'll have to buy a depth gauge to get an exact measurement but it does't seem to be much wear at all.
So far no snow. I honestly doubt we'll see any down here this year. All the reviews I had read before I bought them claimed they did great. I'm still loving the tires. They did well in the rain we had a few days ago. I still have nothing but good things to say about them.
Well with the rain we've had so far, they've done pretty good. It wasn't a down pour but it was a decen rain nonetheless. It wanted to hydroplane once, but I hit a fairly deep standing pool at speed.
My one complaint at this point....these tires WILL pick and and throw rocks!!!
Wear is good...
