This right here and IIRC the early 99s were different. What year is your engine? What reservoir oring did you use? With screen or without?

What year? Cracking the reservoir is usually cause by the wrong oring used.

Crap! Saw one truck like that, everything pointed to oil problems and turned out to be a bad CPS Double check your IPR plug, make sure the EBPV plug isn’t in the IPR. Have seen that also and it does exactly what yours is doing

If you have a spare CPS around try throwing it in. Also check the CPS that you pull out, make sure it’s not hitting the cam gear

Ah got ya. Was thinking you might be mixing the hot oil from the IPRs back into the temp sensor but that kills that idea. I thought back in the day, with the dual pumps, there was talk about putting a cooler on the return line. Just don’t know if anything ever became of it

Do the 6.0s have those three plugs on the left side wheel well like the 08? Just fixed a 08 with the same problem that had a broken wire at one of those plugs.
