It is a heavy monster so be sure you have a good lifting device and good chains. You should be able to get it out without removing the turbo. I like the idea of pulling th etranny too. But definately need to remove the TCase.

I had a similiar problem but I think it was my cable. I twisted the cable several times to shorten it up just a tad. It fixed my problem and haven't had an issue with the fix in 4-5 years. Hopefully this will help someone else in the future.

Yes it does not get in the way at all especially on an OBS. To get oil pressure you need a sending unit and run it separately to the gauge.
