Broke a couple of vacuum lines. What are they for?
Heard an air noise under my hood and traced it to a vacuum line here that was broken. There are 2 there, when fiddling with them, the other one was brittle and broke too. What are these for? Should I cap them or do they need to be repaired? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk -

Ford remote access, need help
Sorry you didn't get much help, but I recall (and I think you figured this out already) that when I put in my kit, there was an old version that plugged in behind the glovebox, and a newer one that used the OBD port. I specifically tracked down the older version because my tuner uses the OBD...- EskimoPie

One last thing... On the VGT electrical connection at the top of the turbo, I broke one side latch off the connector during the removal. The one on the other side was fine so I just plugged it back in. There's a nice tight rubber seal in the connector too and I'm figuring that harness doesn't... -

I did do an oil change the next day, but I'm not terribly worried about it. It cleared right up after 5-10 seconds and then purred like a kitten. Startups after that point were normal. Could it also have been due to air in fuel lines? I pulled out the fuel filter while doing the PCV kit... -

Finally completed the install. I shot-gunned my approach to the up-pipe. Ordered a new pipe from Midwest, did a PCV removal kit to enable access to the exhaust manifold with the turbo installed, and left the manifold bolts loose after I put the turbo in place. With all of that, I was easily... -
