Yeah you definetely have some exhaust leaks or boost leaks or both. Look for soot around the exhaust manifolds, the uppipe connections, and at the y collector. Test for boost leaks, and consider replacing the original boots if they have never been replaced they are due.

Thanks for the insight yall. I likely would have sprung for the basb had i known, but i didnt. That being said, im happy so far with the 66 turbo, and im guessing my experience is differet since mytruck is geared lower. I think it has 4.30s, everytime i do the math im closer to 4.30 than 4.10...

Just an update, towed for about 10 hours across KY yesterday with my setup. Only grossing about 17500 or so, was towing a 9.5-10k fifth wheel. Got to see lots of grades and just about any common towing condition except high altitudes. Was using Jonathon's tow tune, stock injectors, banks...

Yep on the fuel pickup. They are notorious for cracking. I had one that cracked and one that fell off completely.
