    Upgraded hydraulics for ZF6 transmission

You can cut the bushing eye off the master pushrod and weld on a rod end. Keep the rod the same length. Grind the weld off the backside of the pin on the pedal and knock it out. Put a bolt through the hole and the rod end. Pretty sure it's a 3/8" hole.

    Upgraded hydraulics for ZF6 transmission

No need for a bracket on the firewall. The clutch master attaches direct to the pedal assembly so sheetmetal flex isn't a problem. Do you have any pics of your "stronger" release lever? As mentioned above pull the slave and work the pushrod slowly to get the air out. Keep the hose as vertical...

    Upgraded hydraulics for ZF6 transmission

I'm running the cast slave right now with the factory master. No problems with either. Slave shouldn't move around much if at all. Shouldn't be too difficult to remove and install either. Pull the slave and check the three tabs that lock it in. If it wasn't installed correctly last time and...

    6.4 ZF

I have one with a vibration. Sometimes at idle it will shake the truck, push the clutch pedal enough to slip the discs and it will quiet down. Are you sure when you installed the flywheel that the crank adapter and flywheel seated properly? Mine was a pretty snug fit and it took some work to...

    Bilstein 5160s

I've had 5160 on the front for a year. Better than the stock shocks they replaced. The bodies are doing well but the banjo fittings on the hose are rusty. Wish I had the time to paint the bodies when I installed them.

Bending Rods & Blowing Gaskets with Boost or Backpressure

To keep from derailing this thread ... http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?p=727108#post727108 I've copied some of the posts here, hoping someone can explain this to me. I have read about this many times on many forums and just can't understand how this happens. Basically two...

    Motor Build - Finally!!!

I can see how 140 psi of backPressure will hold valves open. A rod that can take several thousand psi of combustion pressure being bent with only 140 of back pressure doesn't make sence to me. Won't boost and backPressure both be trying to push the piston down?

    webb06 official build thread

Your new block was shipped from a Detroit warehouse/dealer? How do you know you got a "new" block? Ford is spray welding the bores and machining to original size so that's not a good way to tell. Ford and Navistar had huge stockpiles of parts and engines in 08 and 09 when they were going...

    Welder of choice

Weaving or zapping a weld can be useful but most of the time it's pointless. It doesn't look better ... just different. Flat and horizontal position is easy with mig ... set the machine to appropriate parameters ... hold proper gun and work angle ... pull trigger ... move in a steady speed and...

NOOB: Oxy/Acetylene vs. Electric Arc Welder

Brazing is a different process. It can be strong but it's usually used with a lap joint, surface area is where the strength comes from. Think of it as soldering but hotter and with a stronger filler metal. Brazing is done below the melting point of the parent metal. Welding will melt the...

NOOB: Oxy/Acetylene vs. Electric Arc Welder

I love oxy-acetylene, and you can do what your asking with it, but I think you would be better off with a good quality mig machine. Oxy-acetylene can be dangerous and frustrating if you don't have the experience/knowledge to use it. For cutting metal I think a sawzall, zip cut, hacksaw ...

    Anybody watch this guys videos?

The only reason a push pull setup or a spool gun is used is because of feeding issues with soft aluminum wire. It's been done every way possible for decades with known results. That guy is annoying though. Some editing would have helped.
