Well, lots has changed on the truck since I last posted here. Ended up having to redo my heads (sore subject.) Oringed them, while it was apart I got set up with some 175/30 sticks and a couple of other things. EGTs are no longer an issue for me and are back to normal, turbo lights great now...

If it's a gearing issue, 4.10s would be ideal for daily driving with occasional heavy towing, correct? If that's what needs to happen, what am I looking at as far as parts cost? And if it's an injector issue, what parameters should I be watching?

Right. It seems to run fine, just seems hot and a little off. How could an injector issue just pop up, with simply changing the turbo? EGTs were fine before I put this on the truck.

EGTs seem to wanna hang around that range and only get to 1250 and set my alarm off around 95 mph and up WOT. Tomorrow I'll look at...

Just seems strange that this thing would run that hot with just a turbo change. A jump of 200* just seems insane to me. I guess I don't really know much about the gearing side of things though. What gears would be ideal? I'd say 80% of my driving is highway, with a little driving in town and...

:whs: ^^^ I've got a cab light that likes to come and go as it pleases, same with my passenger dome light. Driver side dome went out last week, and the rear dome light had never properly worked.

I think I finally got it fixed. Still have elevated EGTs but I think it's because I'm on 37s and 3.73s. Making around 30-33 psi on WOT runs. Still hearing some kind of "whoosh" but I think that may be an ordinary noise for this turbo. No exhaust smell in the cab anymore. Definitely digging this...

Well I couldn't feel anything and I haven't had time to do much other than find it. Looking around, found some visible soot around the bottom of the v-clamp and all over the heat shields. Won't be able to mess with it til at least Monday again. Pulling the turbo (again) and then I will inspect...

Before I went with 08 style mirrors, I had the clear Recons in mine. One was fine but pass. side was never right and actually flew off one time.

Definitely do the heads with ARP's and OEM gaskets. I'm not too sure about O-ringing them though. I've never really looked into what that is or what it does.

+1 on the turbo sticking. Sounds like something is going on with the turbo.
