Since everyone likes seeing these.... Bent #1 rod back in January. I had the plow on the truck and had symptoms of a bad EPB sensor, gave it the beans a couple times in hopes of clearing out the EBP tube if it was clogged. Accidentally left the HD300 tune in the truck too. Turns out a wire was broken so all I managed to do was pour in the fuel at low RPM and skyrocket cylinder pressures. Truck started ticking once I got to where I was going, I first assumed it was a lifter. After tear down I found the #1 rod was bent just enough to let the bottom of the piston hit the counterweight on the crank. My wife and I had our son on 12/30, between him and work time has been in seriously short supply so I've only recently started making decent progress on this. Parts list: 8 new pistons, shaved down 60 thou, delipped, and coated 8 new rods Stage 1 cam from Dynamic Diesel All new bearings, seals, gaskets from bottom to top All new lifters Already had ARP studs All 8 injectors checked by MPD, one failed had to get a reman BD manifolds/up pipes H&S single kit The piston that was hitting the crank: Build pics: Got a little carried away with my 0's on the markings, my rings are not set that tight lol Yes that's a 2x4 under the crank snout. I don't trust all that weight on this dinky stand. Lol. Last thing on it was a fully dressed GT500 longblock so it's fine but they always make me nervous when they're loaded up heavy.
