checking in here on my build, haven't posted up in an a while. Their has been quite the negative vibe going on this last week on here so i thought i should post up a more positive story! last time i updated i had picked the motor up from Morgan and put it all together, unfortunately we had an issue with the motor upon initial start up. i got in touch with Morgan the next day, we discussed options and concluded that it would be best if the whole truck just went down to him. Once we were able to get our schedules to jive we met half way and he took the truck the rest of the way. Jump forward a couple weeks because Scheids took priority, The midwest crew was able to fix everything up, break everything in and set the gate appropriately. this last tuesday we once again met halfway and i brought the little demon home! Now onto the exciting stuff, this thing is a riot! I'm still getting use to it and driving it as much as possible before i drive it to hard. truck is smoke free and runs very cool around town and on the highway if you drive it smart.. but you realize it has ALOT of fuel when you lean on it lol, gates set at 48ish psi but it just blows the tires off anything more than half throttle anyways. I was concerned that this 72/59 would be to small for the fuel on tap but it really hasn't got that hot so far, granted I'm on lower gearhead tune at the moment so it will probably get a little toasty when theirs more fuel down low. But for anyone thinking about going this route i think its a great option, with proper tuning it makes for a great setup. Off idle throttle response is amazing and spool up is very quick. Im sure the cam and full port job has a significant impact on all this also but ill say it works. All in all i am extremely happy with the end result, and it makes it all worth it when i get behind the wheel. Ive mentioned it before but i can't say enough about Morgans professionalism and the way he takes care of his customers, Top notch. It was a ****ty situation but it was dealt with quickly and he took care of me. Ill get some videos up here in the next week or so and I'm planning to get to the track one weekend this month. Im also hoping to make it to Rudys but i just realized that that is Canadian thanks giving weekend... soo ill do my best lol
