factory nav/dvd

does anyone know how to disable or trick the safty on the nav so you dont have to be in park to watch dvds. this is more for the kid then me.

has anyone else done this. pm me if you dont want to post

I just grounded the proper wire on the deck I just installed(it was a kenwood) and it worked like a charm. It will probably be along the same lines for the factory nav unit . Sorry I couldnt answer your question 100%

i have a kenwood unit in my truck and thats what i did for it. on the factory unit you have to be in park with the parking brake on. so i dont know if there are two wires you need to ground or just the one.

Check out coastal e tech. They have a lockpick so you can. You can use back up camera driving too. I think the newer factory navs go off gps anyway.

thats the ticket...i was hopping there was a free trick to it..but having the sync system makes it a little more complicated
