I took advantage of some great weather this weekend and got a few things accomplished. Saturday was busy with youngest boys basketball game, then oldest boys baseball game (indoor) plus it being his birthday, we went to eat, movies, etc. So Saturday was shot. Woke up Sunday and ran to Lowes because I needed to get some aluminum channel and flat stock to mount my air compressor and horns that arrived last week. So not knowing how I was going to install, I walked out of Lowes with $90 worth of aluminum stock and no game plan. But, first thing was first, when I arrived home, I needed to change oil and rotate tires. So, that's what was accomplished. In the process, replaced my oil pan bolt with the EZ drain. Collected my sample to send to Blackstone as well. Finally, able to start on some items on my 'Want to do list' Last week I purchased the hose for the coolant reroute, so started that so I can finish my CAI Metal line removed CAI installed Closer look at the hose reroute Can now close the hood! Finally, what I set out for early in the morning to do...install my air compressor and tank. I knew I wouldn't get it all done (Compressor, Tank, Horns, Plumbing, Wiring) but I wanted to accomplish mounting the tank and compressor for sure. Here is what I came up with for mounting the tank. It's OK...not as good as I thought it would come out to be, but there is just not a lot of room to mount it under these trucks. This was passenger side right below passenger front door. The compressor was mounted just a littler further back (under passenger rear door) Drilled holes in the rail...didn't want to but that was my only option. I was able to put the pressure switch in the tank, the safety blow off, the drain cock, the 1/2" push to connect for the air horn supply and the 1/4" push to connect for the manifold. Ran the line to the manifold. Mounted that further back on the rail on the passenger side. Hoping I can finish this install this week or coming weekend if the weather is nice.
