I have a code p0196 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor. I can not find specifications for sensor resistance or wiring voltage, nor and wiring diagrams.
I have an original sensor and two updated model Motorcraft sensors, all reading in the ~ 40k ohms area at ambient temperature ~ 60F
KOEO, battery at 12v, with the connector to the sensor unplugged I am reading 4.85v on the LG/R wire. With the connector plugged in it drops to 4.02v.
Same story probing the LG/R wire back at the PCM. Does anyone know where I can find technical service data?
