Here's a weird one for you guys. Customer called me this morning and told me his 6.4 has a foam like substance coming from his degas bottle. I automatically assumed oil cooler but now that he dropped it off, I'm not sure. Now keep in mind, I haven't even began to diagnose this, and a couple of other shops that I talked to said it was new to them also. Foam has about the consistency of whip cream, smells like coolant, tastes like coolant and is a white or off white color. Truck is deleted but EGR coolers are present. Truck is not low on oil and oil looks fantastic. I was thinking a possible EGR cooler ruptured and is some how aerating the coolant? Not sure. Truck also runs flawless. Didn't get hot, no issues other than pushing out foam 😂. Anyone else seen this issue?

Could be a dozen things, who knows whose pouring what....
. Remove the bottle, before draining the radiator to avoid that stuff washing down into the system.

Pull yer block drains and assess... Go from there.

I should mention, I know the guy that owns it very well. I've been working on their stuff for close to 10 years, it's all meticulously maintained and I know he wasn't adding to the coolant system and it hasn't been flushed recently or coolant hasn't been added.
