The Super Duty's 1200 pound-feet of torque thrust it to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds—six-tenths quicker than a 2020 F-250 that last held the title A 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty raced to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, making it the quickest diesel truck we've ever tested. A 2020 F-250 last held the title, hitting 60 mph in 6.1 seconds, but the newer truck is helped by an extra 150 pound-feet of torque (1200 total). Not only is the '23 F-250 six-tenths quicker to 60, but it's also a half-second quicker through the quarter-mile and 1.2 seconds quicker to 90 mph. Heavy-duty pickup trucks are all about bragging rights. One year Ram has the best-in-class towing capacity, for example, the next Chevy or Ford owns the crown—and so on and so forth. When it...
How many have seen the specs on the new HO 6.7L powerstroke? As the title says, 500hp and 1200ftlb. Crazy numbers. They made changes to the engine to handle and make the new power.
I found some spied pics taken of the newest Super Duties. A few are of the F250 and a the F450. Of course there really isn't much to see and the rest of the truck looks the same. Its just going to be small fascia changes to the exterior and interior. So below are several pics I have found.
The Ford 3.0L Power Stroke V6 launched in the 2018 Ford F-150 to much fanfare, as quite a few truck buyers had been pining for a diesel version of the popular pickup for some time. However, the F-150 Power Stroke didn’t stick around for long due to poor sales and was subsequently discontinued, as Ford Authority exclusively reported last year. Regardless, there are still likely some folks in the market for an F-150 Power Stroke, or perhaps its electrified counterpart, the PowerBoost hybrid, which is why we’ve assembled a comparison between those powerplants and the Chevy Silverado and Ram diesel pickups, as well as the new Toyota Tundra i-Force Max hybrid, to see how they stack up. The Ford F-Series lineup has long represented a proverbial cash cow for the automaker, as well as the best-selling duo in America. As such, it should come as no surprise that the Ford Super Duty – one half of the F-Series lineup along with the Ford F-150 – is an extremely valuable profit generator for the automaker, as Ford CEO Jim Farley revealed during the company’s Q1 2022 earnings call with investors recently. “I just want to say, on the Super Duty, obviously that’s a quarter of our profitability as a company globally,” Farley said. The Ford Super Duty and Ford F-150 have a tremendous financial impact not only on FoMoCo’s bottom line, but also the U.S. economy as a whole, as 500,000 U.S. jobs can be directly attributed to the...
According to Ford Authority, Ford will be doing a redesign of the 2023 Super Duties. The Ford Super Duty lineup received a refresh for the 2020 model year consisting of revised styling, new tech, and the addition of Ford’s 7.3L Godzilla V8, among other changes. The 2022 Ford Super Duty lineup is also receiving a host of upgrades, including new interior and exterior color options, improved tech features, and the addition of some new and revised appearance packages. However, change is inevitable in the automotive world, and according to Automotive News, the Super Duty will undergo a more comprehensive redesign in 2023.
