All 8 pistons cracked? What happened?
So I’d like to get some opinions on what the heck happened here. Less than 45k miles on motor #2 and boom! Cracked number 8 clean across and the other 7 have smaller fracture cracks in them. Mild Reliability Build (Am I Missing Anything)
Let me start this thread out with a little background info. I purchased this truck back in October of 2012 with around 75k on it. Looks like Head Studs after all... What else should I do?
Well I only want to yank this cab once. The truck is going to be used as a DD, some short distance trailer pulling and the occasional long haul with a trailer (>1k one way). With that being said, power goals are around 600ish but I mainly want reliability. I occasionally hit the dragstrip maybe... -
