I really don’t see enough gain to go away from the cp4.2. Plenty of failures with cp3s as well. It’s honestly part of any and every common rail life.

If price is close to the same a stage 1 cam will be fine. Really no need for more unless you’re planning fairly significant fuel and air upgrades. You won’t be in framing the cam perse it comes out the back. I’ll reiterate to address everything throughly while you are there or you will be doing...

If it’s within their stated warranty I feel Confident you’ll be taken care of. They’ve been around a long time they’re a stand up company.

If it’s a aftermarket hpop that’s another bag of issues.

Get a Ford sensor and pigtail then retest

Thank you for sharing the info. Also this reiterates how difficult it can be for “normal” rebuilds to have this level of thoroughness. Also would lead me to believe it’s why you hear those horror stories of constant repeat failures.

Start planning a engine build. I’m a 6.4 fan but you will end up needing to do everything right 1 complete time. Good luck!

It’s probably just air. Need to drive it

If icp is in the valve cover then that side is seeing enough psi to start. When icp is under the turbo they’ll see 500psi there but it’s not getting that psi to the rail. That’s why I asked location of the icp sensor

If your icp sensor is under the turbo and that’s your psi cranking it’s probably your pump.

To my knowledge no dealer will have the capability to bench flash a pcm. But keep us posted.

You’re probably going to need a ids to wake the pcm back up.

I just flat out don’t like the stupid face on the Hydras and have no need for 15 tunes. Maybe I could figure out a way to mount it behind the dash and just have the buttons protruding through….
