I searched about this. I didn't find much (or my search skills blow). I see a lot of people run both. I know Elite seems to stick to Carrillo. Morgan @ Midwest runs R&R and most people around here seem to have R&R. Not looking for a pissing contest, I'm just honestly curious, is one better than the other or are they pretty much the same, just 2 different companies? I know the Carrillo's require a small bit of clearance mod, very minor I believe. Price doesn't seem to differ much between the two. I'm just looking for insight that's all.

I have R&R in my race truck and no complaints. We have sold and installed both at Holderdown

We put Carillo's in all of our 90% of our Duramax engine builds and I plan on using them in my 6.4 when the time comes.

They both work. R&R doesn't involve clearancing the block. The R&R imo has a stronger cap design and beam. I have personally not seen an R&R break. Honestly most people would never break either rod. If someone needs pricing hit me up.

From what I have seen and heard in the single cylinder game I wouldn't run carrillos in anything. Honda race engine with stock crank will outlast the transmission usually 40+hrs very hard 10k+ rpm and both engines that were done with the carrillo race rods had egged the wrist pin out in 20hrs. Carrillo said that was normal for theirs. just my .02

Wonder if the merger of R&R with Wagler will have any impact on product offerings for 6.4s?

morgan's rods are built specially for him...

Actually it is an issue. I believe Morgan and I got the last remaining sets r&r for 6.4 and 6.7 while there will be a production delay switching over to Wagler . Let me know if anybody needs a set !
