I have a 24 f350 with the 6.7 power stroke
it has 15kmiles it wouldn’t start in my driveway so I had it towed to the local dealership. The first thing they did was to take a sample of the fuel from the fuel filter. It looks like oil in the fuel to me. the service manager asked me if there was anyway someone put something in the fuel tank. I told them I could be possible but after seeing there sample I’m convinced it’s coming from the engine somehow but the service manager said they have never seen that
Anybody have any input on this?

Ain’t any real way for oil to get in the fuel, they don’t touch each other. It could be algae, if you got fuel from a questionable source. The way it’s separated looks like water, I don’t think oil separates with fuel, typically when I’ve got both in a bucket it’s pretty mixed

It's definitely not oil. Oil will not separate from fuel like that. Injectors in the 6.7 are not fired with oil like the 6.0 and they don't flow fuel through the head like the 6.0. It's probably algae contaminated water.

Most likely entire fuel system replacement (injectors, cp4, high pressure lines, fuel rails, low pressure pump), tank dropped and cleaned, plastic feed lines flushed.
