new transmission smells a little burnt

i just got a transmission put in my truck and it has full tranny fluids. whenever you get on it a little bit it seems to smells a little like burnt transmission fluid, i dont know if thats because its new or if because the cooler is not enough. i have a 100hp chip on it so i dont know what the problem is. its just a stock e4od tranny.

Is the new paint putting off an odor? How does it run and who built it?

do you have a trans temp gauge? what temp is it running at?

A stock tranny won't hold up to a 100 hp chip. If it's not a problem yet it will be for anyone with a chip with a 100 hp up setting. Once you add hp mods at that level and up you'll need a custom transmission.

Some examples: any chip over 60 hp, a bigger turbo or larger injectors - you definitely will need a custom tranny. :fordoval:
