Rust prevention

Hi all, I have a 2010 f250 and I live in Michigan where the winters are rough on vehicles to say the least. I'm wondering what is the best way to prevent rust on the truck. Thanks

wash the hell out of it everyday or every week

Get it undercoated.
Clean it very often.

Any suggestions on what to undercoat with. I usually wash it after I drive it in the salt.
