someone refresh my memory..
there is a way to replace the oil pan on a 7.3 without pulling the engine or using that 2 piece glue-together pan..

but I can't remember what it is..

there is a way to replace the oil pan on a 7.3 without pulling the engine or using that 2 piece glue-together pan..

but I can't remember what it is..

Unbolt the motor mounts and lift the motor. It's tight, but you can get enough room to swap the pan on a 4x4. Might also need to loosen the body mounts to gain enough clearance. There is also a gasket now, made by Moroso, sold by RiffRaff that eliminates the need to turn the motor upside down.

Yep. I just fixed a job that a Ford dealer did. It leaked worse after they touched it. I also found RTV beads cramed in the pick up tube.
