ZF6 are nice DD too.
Glad to hear you were able to drive it home. So when's the next pull?

Next pull for our class isn't for another 3 weeks, July 3th at Blackstock fair, then July 11th at Varney Motorspeedway which is a new pull this year I'm excited to try out.
Hoping to maybe find a bush pull before then I can try the truck in an open class get all the bugs worked out before the next pull!

We managed to get our class in for a demo at the Bolton truck and tractor pulls last night with the pro mod diesel class cause only one truck showed up to pull, got the truck ready last minute and headed up managed to snag 2nd place! Still have a long way to go but I'm pretty happy with that hook, very tight track last night. I'll post up a video soon.

Nice pull! Track looked a little rough at the end.

Yeah the whole track was pretty rough by the time we pulled lol that was my buddies front wheel ruts I hit at the end, was a pretty tight track one dodge cooked his clutch and locked up his rear axle at 180'

Pulled Varney motor speedway last Saturday. 270 feet even...good enough for last place out if 6 trucks lol was the only truck there under 1000hp, not running dual rear wheels and also only street driven truck so I didn't feel too bad about getting last. Very loose track.
Thinking about changing my tire set up. I'm the only one left in the class not running an aggressive mud terrain tire this season. Seems like the all terrains are really hurting my distances on the looser tracks. May go for a toyo M/T or Goodyear duratracs seem to work well for most. Next pull is this Saturday at the Milton Country heritage fair. Going to try and get my tru trac in this week, remove rear seat so I can hang all 400 lbs of case weights off the front and see if it helps.

Dick cepec crushers seem to be popular in 3.0. Bailie is running toyo mt on there 2.6 truck and it's very competitive.

Over the winter the tire everyone was fighting to get was 35" nitto mud grapplers for a 16" rim but only one guy got ahold of a set. Other then that everyone's running different m/t tires but they all seem to work well. Going to give my all terrains another shot this weekend airing the fronts down to 15 psi and see if it helps. Most I've ever let them down to is 25 so far.

Thinking about having gearhead write me a 4th gear start tune...these loose tracks are really killing me here! Having the same problem as last year, just blows the tires off and hits 4500rpm rev limiter. As soon as the weight comes up it stops the truck dead, I get beat by trucks 200hp less then me. Thinking I'm choosing the wrong gear. 3rd 4LO with 3.73's.
Have also heard 1st 4HI works well but doubt my converter will lock in 1st.
Has anyone tried 4th gear pulling?

1st hi on a loose track is a must. Talk to Matt and have him write a tune to lock the converter at a certain rpm in 1st hi and unlock at a certain rpm.

Was thinking that as well. Should I try 1st 4hi with the tuning I have now tomorrow if it's a loose track or wait till he can make me a tune that will lock the converter in 1st?
