My crank has been turned 10,10 and couple bearings were showing copper but slick as glass. Bought a s475 billet, with a 83mm .9 ar exhaust housing.

4-15 ish injectors still talking around want 5 hole injectors to get a cleaner burn like a 5x14. And a p7100 12mm for now tell I get some time on it and decide how much power I really want. It's not going to be a dyno queen but I feel 500 will be easy and go from there. Keeping it street able.

I just got off the phone with Mr Stauffer and he surprised me with the amount of torque these engines are capable of. Seems a 600-700 hp DT will get you close to if not over 2,000 ft lbs of torque! I thought pipewhiner or swamp ratt was shooting for 900 hp. I'd be very curious about these torque numbers and how his transmission liked it

I was planning on using a zf5 since I have 3 of them, but Mr Stauffer said they don't like torque, but a zf6 would handle it nicely
Good info. The newer zf6's have a higher input spline count. Not sure if that's the only difference, but the torque rating is higher I think?

He said the input shaft is much larger in diameter plus the internal pump help keep fluid going to stressed areas and aids in cooling.

What are they charging you to do that? Btw, if you know what pully diameter and belt type (seerpentine), I might try to make one for you.

Idk didn't ask I have known the guy since I was 8. He has never been any more than I was expecting and usually less. I might put the motor on his engine dyno to tune it before putting it in the truck. But we broke it not to long ago with a 1600 naturally aspirated gas motor. So he might not let it go on there if he thinks we might over stress the dyno.
Going to give him the head and let him check it out to make sure it doesn't need anything

Pulled the cam today bearings are down to the copper. I believe they ran this motor way longer than they let on with water in the oil. But I have to say not one bearing surface is even scratched so I can't complain.
I will do some math and see

I will try to get some measurements tomorrow off the stock 7.3 pulley if I can find one laying around. Thought about running v belts up to the water pump and let the alternator be the tensioner then lathe the front of the water pump pulley to serpentine to run the ac pump.
For what it's worth the rebuild kit from my supplier at work was 923$ with tax. But it didn't come with a complete lower gasket set. Going to order it and can bearings tomorrow.

Of course there's a dyno with in eyesight of me that will support north of 3k hp but it's a 90ish millionaire private dyno they run promod motors on I could try getting into.

Anyone have a clutch guy. Needing to go from dt360 to 1.75 10 spline ( my es42-5d has a cracked case) I picked up a reman spicer 6453 and am wanting a dual disk clutch setup for it. Think I can piece one together but thought someone may have a good lead

Message psduser1. I think he has a clutch source/brand that is different than valair and sb. I think gwunter posted a different brand clutch for his 4bt too.
