Are you gating to the intermediate pipe or atmosphere?

I've heard of quite a few PI converters losing lock up latley. When I smoke my PI converter I'm going to DPC.

It could also be as simple as a piece of carbon stuck in the valve seat.

You should upgrade the stc fitting, stand pipes and dummy plugs while your in there. If your pulling the heads now would be a good time to upgrade the valve springs and push rods also.

At this point I would recommend someone taking their truck to Confederate Diesel before recommending a MTW turbo.

I'm down, live in anchorage. There's a few guys in Fairbanks that come down for a dyno day at Underground Performance, unfortunately I've been at work the last 2 years they have done it.

Get a SCT first, with added power you will want to tune the trans also, that is if you want it to last.

I used a piece of electrical tape over the end of the allen socket so the bolt fit tight onto the socket. It worked really well. If a bolt does fall into an intake runner you will be able to pull it out with a magnet, it cant make it past the valves.

Maybe neutral wasn't the best choice of words, I have seen several different trucks kick out of gear while spinning and trying to shift even on stock tuning. I believe what you say over pretty much anyone else when it comes to the 5r but I have been told by a trans builder the trans will kick...

Mark will you shed some light on the trans going into neutral while spinning the tires. Under what conditions is the 5r programmed to go into neutral?
