That is a beautiful truck man. I really like ruby red anything, especially the mustangs.

6.0 with 200K Stud parts list

Yes in my opinion and experience it is easier to yank the motor rather than lift the cab and then drop the trans. I've pulled a few hundred cabs and yanked almost as many 6.0 motors in the last 8 years and I've gotten to where I prefer yanking the engine out, leaving a lift available to put a...

6.0 with 200K Stud parts list

My vote is to pull the motor since you are interested in putting a set of lifters in it. The 300 bucks or so for the set of lifters is going to be the best peace of mind since you are getting up there in mileage. With the motor out the rear cover only takes a few minutes to pull off to get to...

    6.0 Oil Cooler Delete Plates

I agree that it sucks on late 06-07 models having to go to a earlier power steering cooler, but it is what it is. But when mounting the cooler to a OEM condenser there are usually several holes available to put the supplied tapping screws into. It is fairly easy to look on the side of the...

2012 Lava Red Jack Roush Stage 3 Built Motor 600+RWHP

That is awesome, it is pretty neat seeing how much more power the 5.0 stage 3 Roush cars make compared to the 4.6 3v Roush cars from 06-09. Well over 100hp at the crank. The 5.0 and TVS combo make for a mean street machine that can be daily driven and like you said go to the track and make 10...

2012 Lava Red Jack Roush Stage 3 Built Motor 600+RWHP

Do you know the exact power that the car put down? That's a beautiful car! Lava red was a rare color period. I read somewhere that total production numbers for that color were around 519 and I think that most of those were v6 cars. GLWS.

    Red Coolant

Do you know what specified miles or hours that is? I know you still have to test it but I thought most cat ec-1/compatible coolants didn't have to be tested for 150,000 miles. At least that's what I thought I read on the back of a gallon. I could be wrong tho.

    Red Coolant

Same here. I also put it in everything. We keep a couple 55 gallon drums of it in stock at my work at all times so it's easy for to me access. It is maintenance free for 150,000 miles and advertised to last 300,000 in most light and medium duty applications. With the gold coolant you must...

    questions on swapping 6.0L motors

Not all 04's have the ICP sensor in the pump cover. If it does and you do decide to swap the pump, rails, and valve covers you need to swap the branch tubes regardless of icp sensor location. If you decide to swap all this and 04 motor is early production with log style oil rails, you must swap...

    questions on swapping 6.0L motors

Swap front covers. The gear boxes in the 05-07 trucks are bigger and that is why the lower radiator hose comes out at a different angle. The lower hose on a 05-07 truck comes out at a "3 o'clock" position where as the 04 comes out at a "4 o clock". With the 04 front cover in a 05-07 truck frame...

6.0 no start, spring found in filter housing

Those stems aren't very expensive. Follow it down to where the base of the oil filter sits and you will see it held down by a small t-27 bolt. After removing the bolt twist the stem counter clockwise and pull strait up. The new stem should come with a new seal for the bottom of it and also a new...

6.0 no start, spring found in filter housing

Agreed. The drain valve spring is shorter and also a little wider I believe. Very easy to tell them apart.

    Wrench light on 2006 6.0

^This and flush the cooling system BEFORE doing the repairs. You can find some good write ups on great ways to flush a 6.0 by doing a little google research. Any crap in the cooling system broken up during the flush will wind up in your old oil cooler and not the new one. Completely drain...

Ain't nobody got time for that! J/K man, I know you thought and researched this whole process out, cut no corners and take pride in it. Therefore, I can't wait to see this creation in person, strap it down and cross my fingers I don't have to mop up a mess after a few pulls lol.

    attempting exhaust install...

It's not 5 inch. If you look at their website it says that it's a 4 inch down pipe, then goes to 5 inch after that. You are also right on the picture that Nic posted of the exhaust system. It's a generic picture used for all of their kits on the website.

Whats your production date and issues you've delt with

Mine is a 11/03. Issues I've had are head gaskets (I created that tho), It currently needs an oil cooler EOT-ECT is way too much after driving on the highway for awhile (45 degrees). I have a new oil cooler, just need to get the time to install it and studs. My drive distance to work is 7.5...

engine swap 03 truck with 06 engine

From what I've read on the boards they are different and won't interchange without issues. It's definitely something I wouldn't try swapping. But he will be able to plug the 06 engine harness into his 03 PCM without any problems.
