    Cam Install

OK just need advice from people that have done it. I can't pull my cab but I can pull the engine or drop the transmission. I'm leaning towards dropping the trans because I don't have a way to hold the engine. I'm not dropping the crank either, just pulling the flange.

    Fuel line fitting

Can anyone tell me what fitting I would need to adapt the fuel supply side of a stock pump to AN? I'm leaving the stock pump in place when I put in my bigger fuel system so I have a "limp home pump" just in case.

    Whirring noise

Trying to tack down a whirring noise from the front end. Seems to get worse if I unlock the hubs. Front axles have movement in them if I push up or down on them, but have read that was normal. (I could be wrong.) Any input?? It's driving me nuts and I can feel it in the floorboard. Gets the...

    My own parts

Because I'm bored sitting at home with an infected finger the size of a brat, I thought that I would share some pictures of some parts that I have been working on for my own truck. I made an intake elbow ditching the boot in favor of a v-band, ported intake manifold (all welded using tig dc...

    Turbo sizing for 225's

So, I'm trying to get an idea on turbo sizing for a set of 225 100%. The truck does not see any towing just going to be my really pissed off DD. Part off me says RCD's 68mm VGT, and the other part is saying a non-vgt 66mm-ish large single. But with that comes a/r options. .70 t3 or .88 t4...

    Sch 40 SS Headers

Just thought I would post some pictures of some headers that I have been working on. They are sch40 304L stainless. All welds are full pen (root and cap), purged with argon backing gas. After welding, the headers were pickled and passivated. This set is going to Jess Warren tomorrow so he can...

    Head Questions

Tried the search and didn't find what I was looking for, maybe I over looked it. I am trying to find a set of heads to prep for studding my truck this summer and am having a hard time finding a set of 18mm dowels that are resonably priced. So my question is that with a set of step dowels, could...

    New from Iowa

Just thought I would post and say hello. Been trolling the forums for a while and utilizing the power of the search button. Located in Dubuque Iowa. I build Biogas compression systems, but got a degree thingy in Engine machining and cylinder head porting. (obviously that one worked out well.) If...
