05 Electronic Problems

Hey guys, on our farm we've got a bone stock 05 f350 6.0 that has been acting up. The entire instrument relay just goes dead, and the windows don't work. It randomly just does this while driving. I was told it was also shifting real hard, but I haven't witnessed that. It is in the shop now, just got a new alternator which didn't fix the problem. Any ideas?

Sounds like instrument cluster is bad. Battery saver relay is integral to cluster and can cause your issues when it goes bad. The radio should also not work when it acts up but the truck will run normal except for dead cluster, radio, windows.

Scan it and see if it has any body codes.

Turned out to be a circuit board in the dash that went haywire. Got a new one and the truck hasn't had a problem since!
