2010 mirror wiring problem.

I put 2010 mirrors on my 01 a few months ago. The trucks been down since then so haven't bothered messing with it. But when I hit my brakes my turn signals light up I hooked then up right behind the switch on the console. Any one had this problem? Any ideas?

do your turn signals work when you hit your turn signals?

Yes they work and they work when the signal is one on and the brakes

That's strange. Sounds almost like you spliced into two wires.

Wrong wire. You need to find the wire that goes to the front turn signals. The circuit for the rear carries turn signals and brake lights (same filament in the bulb).

Where is it located? I spliced the two wires coming from the switch its self

I don't know without looking.... easiest thing to do is turn your hazzards on and get a test light out....

alright I did that with each turn signal to find the one I tapped
