If you don't wanna spend the big bucks buy a used set off someone and try it yourself that way you're not in the hole money wise and if you screw up they're not your frontline set.

I never saw any headlights that I liked on a white truck, I don't like how the stock headlights look when they are painted white so I rolled the dice on some cheap Amazon headlights and I ended up liking them.

Can't really comment on the performance I barely drive my truck.

Thanks for the pics and info guys its helpful. Anybody that got painted ones do it themselves, or did they have someone or a shop do it? I agree i do like these. Maybe ill get these or the ones linked and then get mine painted. im really not worried about the coin as long as its done right.

I agree that painted lights are hard to get looking right on white. This is what I did...

White trucks just don't look good with painted headlights, I have yet to see a set that actually look really good. Some look decent but thats about all the better they get. I wouldn't run the recon stuff. Seems more people have issues with them than not. You need a projector if your going to put in an HID bulb too, it will blind the crap out of everyone and have a horrible beam pattern if you just try to put the bulb in

What problems have you heard with recon? Just curious i thought as popular nd exspensive as they are theyd have there **** together lol. Are there any kind of bulb you can run without projectors besides stock bulbs? I think im going to install my grille and ptm my bumper then decide on headlights. (Sorry if i sound like a complete idiot but im brand new to the 6.7 world)

Sootie did you fab them up yourself or did you buy them like that? I actually kinda like the euro look with the clear lights. I think its all the orange that kills me

Yep. You can also get the marker light in clear from klearz.com. I have switchbacks for the top but haven't put them in yet.

I just wrapped this up this morning. I have some wiring to figure out still...the bi-xenon projectors in the fogs are fighting me to keep all 4 high beams on. Stupid BCM is cock blocking me....I'll figure it out though.

YEah you really can't beat the quality of output/look of retrofitted lights IMO. Honestly if you don't get super crazy on them, they are super easy to retro yourself. Longest part is baking them and cleaning the icky sealant out of them. Probably end up having way less into the than any of the dumB bolt ins like recon, with much better performance.

I have 2 options. Add a piggy back harness to control the fogs of use a high beam signal for a fog bulb trigger with a couple of diodes to make sure nothing backfeeds. All I need now is some time.

You're just paying for the name when you buy Recon. I hate painted white headlights so I went with the Anzos and wired in LED switchbacks for the turn signals. They actually have a really definite cutoff in the projector I've never had people flash their high beams at me. I was pleasantly surprised with the performance of them for the price.

If there is enough interest, I would consider doing some headlight mods & painting on the side. I used to retrofit projectors & LEDs into BMW headlights for a local shop a few years ago. I have a small parts paint booth and all the tools needed for this sort of thing.

IMO these have the perfect OEM look and you just can't beat the light output of the HIDs. I had a custom set on my F150 made by Bilinvic Retrofits that were the tits. Wish I could get him to build a set for my 250 but I think he stopped making them

But i agree with you guys im really leaning towards black instead of white with possibly retro projectors. I found these on amazon but i dont think i can get over the high beam section not painted. Not that im worried about the price much besides getting ripped off, ive never been a fan of recon anything. And i do love the oe look. May install these since there cheap then get the stock set done up. Now are you stuck with stock bulbs unless you do projectors or can you do led or something?
