I'd think you'd be fine with just leveled if you were trying to keep it low.
I've got 3.5" lift and 20x10s -24 offset. I don't remember the backspacing. I had a minor rub on that bracket that's on the back of the bumper that looks like it's meant to give extra support to the sides, and I was able to loosen the bolts, slide it over and get rid of all the rubbing. Worst case you'd have to take that bracket off I bet.
If it makes you feel better about trying, there's a guy running around town here that has 4.5" lift and 20x12s with 37s. I would assume if he can make that work, you'll be fine.
