6.0 VGT Tuning Strategy

Do the 6.0 and the 6.4 use the same tuning strategy to control the vgt? Obviously differences for the compounds, but do they check for similar readings to control vgt position or is the 6.4 closer to the dmax? Just curious because everyone says the way the 6.0 controls the vgt that a vgt can not be used in a compound set up because of back pressure. However I see Dustin is running an elite vgt on his 6.4 fed by an 83mm. Just curious as to why this set up works on a 6.4. And work it does, 900hp is impressive no doubt! Input?

And yes, I've searched this topic and can't find out what the difference is. Everyone said Shawn said it wouldn't work and the back pressure was ridiculous but he chimed in and said he never said it wouldn't work. Just don't understand why it works on a 6.4.

They are both controlled by desired back pressure. Not vein position like a dmax Vgt.
