I am looking for peoples opinion on the gears to run in my truck. I have a 2010 f250 6.4l. I just lifted the truck and am running 3.55 stock gears. wondering if its worth going to 4.10 or stay stock?

Im assuming you have a 6.4

I hated the 4.10s with 37s, ran too high on RPM

I think 3.73 are perfect for 37s on a 6.4, assuming you do the swap yourself it would be well worth it imo.

Thats the issue. I have never done gears before and if i take it somewhere to get done its going to be close to $2,000 I think and that seams like a lot for such a little change. My speedo is only 5 mph off at speed so i think your right 4.10s may be to much. I may have to learn how to install gears myself...lol

05 6.0 with 37's i run 5 - 7 psi boost at 70 and 1800 rpm's 3.73's.
with 35's i ran 3 - 4 psi at 2000 truck was more responsive especially when needing to get on the boost and pass a Semi.

This holds true for most diesels! The 3.73 and 35 is a great combo. Reduces cruising rpm to a decent rate. Stock trucks can be overgeared and as a result seem to have a short, quick flop through the gears where they are already running out of breath. The larger tire stretches out the powerband. All in my opinion of course.

37 and 3.73 was borderline sluggish for me in a 300hp.truck. At 425 it wasnt bad but shifting still lacked a bit. Couldnt.be.happier with the 35s.

I run 37's and 4.33 gears and I'm happy with it. The shop I went to actually wanted to put in 4.55's but I didn't want to at the time, looking back I wish I had. The truck runs great and pulls my trailer good too. I sit about 2000-2150RPM at 70mph-ish.

Just drove the truck from phoenix to Prescott valley. stock tune minus the dpf. truck would go up to 35-40psi of boost when going up hills and would stay at around 20-25psi when maintaining 75 up the hills. coming back down is would hold at 5 to 10. I don't remember ever seeing my boost gauge that high before. I am assuming its because the truck has to work harder to keep the speed up when turning 37" tires. Since i am without head studs I am worried about the boost being that high. it never really hit 40 but it was close. Not to mention i was getting about 9mpg. so I am thinking 4.10's or should I go to 4.56 i was keeping my rpm at around 2000-2500. based on this what do you guys think. I only want to put gears in it once. lol

I had 4.10's on 35's and it was great pulled well but not too much gear to really move if need be launched great turned tires easy and drove great mileage lacked a bit but I didn't mind the mileage loss for good power. But 125 was stretching the top end.
