Adding cab lights

Where is the best place to get a factory cab light kit?

Is there a place in the truck that it would plug in or would it have to be wired to a separate switch?

There is a factory plug that the harness will go into, but mine already had a plug in it so I just ran the wire where it needed to go. You can go to the dealer to get the lights and harness or ebay. I put recon's on my truck they are still working, knock on wood, but if I did it again I think I would go with the factory ones.

I bought the factory lights and the wiring harness for them and had a truck accessorizing company install them local.

Do they still have the inner skin cut out like the 99-07 cabs like a template?

I think the dealer quoted me $350, so I just did it my self

I don't want the dealer to install them, a buddy of mine has done a bunch and is good at it. I just want to buy them from the dealer.

Yeah I think I had around $200 maybe $225 with the lights and having them installed.

Theres a kit on eBay that comes with a template

Lights, harness, and nuts will run you around 100-125 bucks from Ford. Highly recommend that route vs the Recons.

Have you tried Sunrise Ford they are a sponsor here. Their prices are pretty good. I have bought quite a few things from them. Only had 1 issue and they made it right pretty quick.

I tried digging up the part number but this is all I could find. Give em a call

Why do all of y'all recommend the fords over the recons? Fitment issues? Leaks?

Recons track record could be a lot better. I'd get factory lights and put smoked or clear afrermarket lenses if that's what your after.

One thing to note. The 08+ trucks plug in on the drivers side under and behind the e-brake. Older trucks plug in on the passenger side behind the kick panel somewhere.
