My white 2006 has an 08 or 09 6.4 trans and converter in it, I had a direct clutch solenoid failure that wiped out the direct clutch's. Since every other gear is fine I am going to pull it apart and replace the direct clutch's, what has to be done to add an extra friction and steel?

You need to contact Warren Diesel Transmission for one of his Direct Drums. They are custom machined to accept a higher clutch count with a correct thickness pressure plate.
