God you would think it would eliminate a lot if air....i think thats the cause of all the chop in idle on a lot of these trucks.

I have to go look... pretty sure I only have one left and its needed for a truck.

Its interesting to see how many people have made these since I posted the idea and then pictures of the first one online.

I was messaged by a member on here that might have drawings for one that he made. He said that if he can't find the cad drawings he would be willing to send it to me. I'll get the dimensions and then have the lab manager draw it up in inventor. After that, I'll share them with anyone that once to make one.

Does anyone know the thread type of the ipr's? I'm thinking of just doing everything on the lathe in the 4 jaw chuck once I've true'd up a block on the mill.

That looks beautiful. What mill (cnc or manual) did you make it on? What grade of steel did you use? I would love to try and make one. Also, are those jic to not fittings? It's interesting how you started the thread about an 1/8" down 8n the hole. I'm not a machinest, but I do some machining at work. I have never tapped npt threads that way.

Those look like ORB threads. (O Ring Boss) very common on hydraulic systems.

Ahh, that makes sense about the unthreaded section then if they are orb. I mostly use hip, swagelok and npt stuff at work. I do have the special drill/reamer/tap set to do the dynisco stuff too. I've never machined anything for orb, but have been exposed to it.

There is a high possibility there are off the shelf hydraulic blocks that may work with slight modification. A company I worked for had hydraulic test benches and we use sun hydraulics blocks for dump valves, regulators, compensators and such. The dump valves were exactly like the IPR valve but had 120VAC coils.

Only problem is the IPR valve is different than the average selector style dump valves.

Would be nice to find an aftermarket block with selector valves and solenoids that can hold up. It may not be that easy but some thing like this just for example. https://www.surpluscenter.com/Hydraulics/Hydraulic-Valves/Selector-Valves/SAE-8-15-GPM-DOUBLE-SELECTOR-VALVE-12-VDC-P15544-1-9-5117.axd
We used blocks like this as dump valves.

The treads are all ORB and mine was done on a manual mill. It's a block of titanium not steel. Aluminum would be fine.

I see the gold/bronze tint now. The one time I turned some titanium, I thought it cut like butter. I felt it was much easier to work with than the 316 I have machine all the time. That piece looks beautiful. Btw, thanks for the info about the threads.
